We all know about 'pathways' in sport. But it’s often not a pathway for everyone. So we’ve been working on some ways to make sure there is a pathway for anyone in your sport… because if we think like Nike does, we will get more people, more involved, for longer.

Each sport has its own context, challenges and barriers, but we’ve found by designing aspirational journeys in your sport or activity, you can get more of them to sign up and keep showing up again.
𝐇𝐨𝐰?
Everyone who wants to be involved in your sport will have some sort of aspiration, but they need some support to achieve it.
And we call this a ‘Journey of Aspiration’...
... where you are providing the right type of aspiration, but importantly, we are also providing enough support to achieve it.
So, to provide a pathway in your activity, and to keep people on it, we’ve been led back to two key elements.
ASPIRATION + CAPABILITY = A PATHWAY
Firstly, we know we must be aspirational in some way. To do more, belong more, become more.
Secondly, along with the aspiration, we must offer the support. The opportunity and capability to attend, to sign up, show up, and show up again.

Offering a clear, supportive pathway keeps participants motivated and committed, ultimately benefiting both them and your organisation.
Recognising that everyone needs and deserves an opportunity and that we also need to support them will drive your recruitment and retention.
As Nike knows, it's an approach that provides customer growth, and loyalty.
It's the same for you.
If you can provide a pathway for everyone, you will get more people, more involved, for longer...
